Any possibility of using NVENC with outdated drivers?

I've had to roll back to a very old driver due to graphical issues that haven't been fixed as of now. I'm in the process of reporting it to NVIDIA, but in the meantime, I wonder if it's possible to force OBS to allow NVENC usage since it doesn't seem to like how outdated it is.
Code:
23:25:10.361: [NVENC] Test process failed: outdated_driver
23:25:10.362: NVENC not supported
23:25:10.362: Failed to initialize module 'obs-nvenc.dll'
For the record, I'm using 531.29.

Sure you don't have a conflict?

551.76 or better required, see link. You may need to go back to OBS 27 or 28 to get to a version that will work with driver 531.29.

Not sure what GPU you have but 566.36 works great with the 3000 series

Not sure what you mean by that. Conflict as in what?

Oh, that's a shame. I think I might abstain from recording for now.

Got a laptop, 4070 mobile. I would love to use a newer driver version, but I've narrowed it down to the one I mentioned previously being the last one without issues.

Driver conflict.

Na, there's plenty of drivers available past 551.76 that are A-OK. I already mentioned (1) of them that is nice and super stable.

Drivers in the 570's-583ish range were sh!t & caused many issues. For the most part later releases have been better/stable until the most recent releases.
