Encoder overloaded, try switching to faster encoder or lowering settings

Hey all,

Currently using a dual PC stream setup, so resources are split between two machines. Both machines have RX 7800xt GPU, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU's. The streaming PC has 16gb of RAM, and am currently using Aitum multistream plugin to stream to Youtube and Twitch, and then restream to Tiktok. Streaming to all 3 platforms gives the title error "encoder overloaded", but when I only use restream there do not appear to be any issues.

I had used CQP and CQ level 20 which did use to perform better, until I got the encoder error, I then switched to CBR and still have the same issue. I've looked at various threads and none seem to be dedicated to dual pc streaming, only recording. As I am using an entirely separate PC for streaming (Recording done on gaming machine) resources should not be an issue.

Cana nyone help or provide any suggestions at all? Appreciate any help or advice!

Encoding video is a very CPU-intensive operation, and OBS is no exception. OBS uses the best open source video encoding library available, x264, to encode video, and can use hardware encoders like NVENC on high end GPUs. Thread 'Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...'

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored.

To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log File. "Last Log File" is for the last session (the last time you ran OBS). In some cases you may be asked to select "Current Log File" instead, which is for the current session.
