OBS with submenus

Hello, I'm recording tutorial footage in Vectric Vcarve Pro software (CNC CAD and CAM software). When recording in OBS, the submenus do no show up in the recording. I am able to open them and manuever in the software, but none of my actions are recorded, nor are the menus visible when clicked.

What am I missing. I understand from another youtuber had that problem.... with a different software, but his fix did not fix mine.

You need to capture your app with display capture. Window capture will just capture the main window of an app, it's unable to capture dialog windows and menus rendered above the main window, since they're not part of the main window. Some apps render their menus within the main app window, these are being captured so it's not a consistent behavior across all existing apps.
